This week, we received word from Patrick Andrew, bass player and co-vocalist for pop rock trio PFR, announcing an upcoming performance from the band on November 20th. The show is a special benefit concert for Patrick's little 2-year-old son, Samuel Andrew, who was diagnosed with Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) and is need of special care. To help offset the financial costs of Samuel's recent September bone marrow transplant (the only cure for CGD) and continued treatment, Portico Church and PFR will be hosting a benefit concert and art auction at 7pm on Sunday, November 20th at Cornerstone Church in Chandler, AZ. For more information about the event and little Samuel, please visit HelpSamuel.org.
In addition to the benefit show this month, the band is planning a dozen dates or so for a series of reunion shows in 2012 to commemorate 20 years since the band first launched with their debut album, Pray For Rain, in 1992.
***EVENING UPDATE***
There's good news for those of you (like us) who cannot attend the Arizona date. The band will be performing the night before on November 19th for 30 minutes and broadcasting it live via StageIt.com. Tickets are $10.00 to access the live stream, and all proceeds will go to aiding Samuel. Only 300 tickets will be available. For more info, click here!
